Your membership in the YTK Unemployment Fund begins on (check the date in the newsletter) after you confirm your membership by paying the membership fee invoice by the due date.
You will receive your first membership invoice from us within a week or so. If you have joined us by marking a future joining date, we will send you a membership invoice after the joining date you have indicated.
When you receive your membership invoice, pay it and place an e-invoice order in your online bank at the same time. The e-invoice is a free invoicing method for you. In the future, we will charge 5 € for a paper membership invoice.

Why be a YTK member?
We can help and support you if your work is reduced or stops. As a member, you can apply for income support for unemployment, lay-offs, part-time work or part-time business activities, as well as a mobility allowance if your new job is far from home.
We also provide support and tools to assist you in your job search. In the YTK Spark service, you’ll find the best bits from different experts to help your job search. You can access YTK Spark via OmaYTK.
As a member of YTK, you can work in any profession or even change your field without having to change your unemployment fund.
At YTK, you can choose which services you want to use. As a member of the YTK Unemployment Fund, you get income security and support for finding a job. As a member of the YTK Worklife, you get extra security for your working life, as well as nice everyday benefits, for just a small extra fee. If you are not yet a member of YTK Worklife, you can upgrade your membership at any time.
Comprehensive work life services with YTK Worklife membership
If you chose, or later decide to choose, to become a member of YTK Worklife, you will have access to useful working life services for only 29 €! Work life services include:
- Legal assistance for employment problems
- Leisure accident insurance
- Tools for skills development
- Discounts on partner services
The services are provided by YTK Worklife.
Please note that in order to make full use of the Lakikaveri service and to be covered by legal expenses insurance, you must have been a member of YTK Worklife for at least 6 months before the occurrence of the matter. So make sure you secure your membership in time!
If you are not yet a member of YTK Worklife, don’t worry, you can complete your membership with work life services at any time!
Fund membership terms and conditions
Based on the information you have provided, you currently meet YTK’s membership criteria. You can read more about the membership terms and conditions on our website.
Are you transferring to us from another fund?
If in the membership application you authorized us to terminate your membership from the previous unemployment fund, we will only terminate your membership in the unemployment fund. If you want to end your membership in a trade union, as well, you have to do yourself. Remember to also notify your accountant if the membership fees have been collected directly from your salary.
