When will your daily allowance be paid?

Maximum payment period coming to an end? Don’t terminate your membership

It is worth keeping your YTK membership valid even if the duration of your earnings-related allowance, i.e. the maximum payment period, is coming to an end. Only as a member of the fund can you retain the employment condition you have already accumulated or accumulate a completely new employment condition. If you resign from membership, you will no longer be covered by earnings-related security.

Find new momentum for job hunting at the Et ole yksin event

Are you looking for inspiration or practical help with job hunting, or do you need peer support? Come to the Et ole yksin event at the Helsinki Exhibition Center on November 24! At the event, you will hear talks by job search experts, network with others, and participate in workshops.

YTK is co-organizing an AI-themed workshop where Pasi “Pörni” Örn will show how ChatGPT can support your job search. You can also meet YTK staff at our stand – come and say hello!

YTK membership saves you from trouble – help your friends prepare

For many young people or those who have moved to Finland from abroad, unemployment security and fund membership may be unfamiliar concepts. Often, these things only come to mind when the situation has already arisen. Help your friends and tell them about the importance of unemployment fund membership and the need to join in time.

Proposed changes to waiting periods starting next year

The government has proposed changes to unemployment security waiting periods. If the proposals are approved, the amendment would come into force on January 1, 2026.
