Weekends can sometimes cause headaches when filling out daily allowance applications. Here are some simple instructions to help you get the job done.

We regularly receive questions about how weekends should be marked on daily allowance applications. Many people do not necessarily consider themselves unemployed or laid off on weekends, which can cause confusion when filling out the application.

However, the matter is quite simple from the applicant’s point of view.

Job search is valid regardless of whether it is a weekday or weekend. Therefore, if you have not been working, on paid leave, or sick, you should indicate “laid off” or “unemployed” on your application for Saturday or Sunday.

You can also work on weekends. Therefore, you must mark the weekend as unemployed if you have not worked.

If, on the other hand, you have worked during the weekend, enter the hours worked on the weekend days in the application.

If you do not mark anything, OmaYTK will not allow you to submit your application, as we always need to know whether you have been unemployed or working.

Public holidays can also cause headaches. You can find instructions on how to mark them here!
