From the beginning of September, each job seeker must publish a job search profile in the Labour Market Service of the authority.
The purpose of the job search profile is to make it easier for employers and job seekers to meet. With the help of the profile, employers can search for experts for their open positions and find suitable people for jobs that are not published in the open call. The job search profile is published anonymously.
When should a job search profile be published?
If you register as a job seeker on or after 1.9.2026, you must publish your job search profile at Job Market within 15 working days.
If the job search has started before the beginning of September, the deadline will start with your next job search conversation with the employment authority.
If you do not publish the profile within the time limit, the employment authority will add the specified minimum information and publish it on your behalf. You can also complete and update your profile yourself afterwards.
An exception to the obligation of a job search profile may be made if the employment authority considers that the publication of the profile is not necessary and appropriate in your situation.
Make your skills visible to employers
In addition to the obligation, a job search profile is an opportunity to tell employers about your skills. It is a good idea to describe your work experience, skills and interests in the profile as clearly as possible.
You can ask for help in drawing up a job search profile from the employment authority.
