YTK Unemployment Fund supporting the employment of its members
One in four Finnish wage earners is our member. We take care of their income security and help them find employment. We are also happy to do this in cooperation with other organizations. Let’s talk more!
At YTK, the happiness of our members in their working lives is close to our hearts. That is why we want to encourage and support them during transitions in their careers. We offer our members services that help them find jobs more quickly.
YTK services to assist our members
We help our members find new jobs. We have conveniently compiled all the tools in one place: the YTK Spark service. Our members can access Spark by logging in to OmaYTK’s online services.

Solutions for improving employment
High unemployment is Finland’s biggest problem in terms of competitiveness. Jobs and workers are not matching up, and the challenges of job hunting are exhausting even the most persistent job seekers. Various models are being developed in 45 employment areas across Finland – should we join forces?
Together with five other organizations, we organized an event to discuss solutions for improving employment.
Follow unemployment data
You can find up-to-date information on unemployment from the YTK Unemployment Fund in YTKBarometer. The data includes information on the unemployment rate of our members in different age groups, gender differences in unemployment, and the development of unemployment in different months and years. The data can be viewed by region and city.
The unemployment rate among YTK members in 2025 was approximately 7.2%
On average, job seekers registered with YTK are unemployed for approximately 8 months. The average duration of layoffs is approximately 3 months.
