Effect of holiday compensation on daily allowance
If you are entitled to holiday compensation when your employment relationship ends, we cannot pay you earnings-related daily allowance immediately. For example, if you receive holiday compensation equivalent to one month’s salary, we can only pay you earnings-related daily allowance after one month has passed.
Legislative changes coming
The government has proposed a legislative amendment that would extend waiting periods. The proposal is still being discussed. The legislative amendment is intended to come into force in March 2026.
