There has been lively public debate about the unemployment situation in Finland. There is no consensus on whether the unemployment situation is normal, bad, or very bad. The situation is complicated by numerous legislative changes. What is happening?

Tell them about TET.fi! It is a service for young people and employers where you can search for a suitable TET placement and learn the skills needed in working life.
We at YTK support the Children and Youth Foundation’s TET.fi service because we want to strengthen young people’s readiness for working life. YTK membership fees have been confirmed
YTK membership fees for 2026 will total €133. The YTK Unemployment Fund membership fee will remain unchanged at €102, while the YTK Worklife fee will increase slightly to €31. You can deduct the fund membership fee from your taxes.
As a member of the YTK Unemployment Fund, you can ensure that your income security remains intact. Income security is an important financial benefit if you become unemployed, work part-time, or are laid off. You can also apply for a mobility allowance if your job is located further away from home, and transition security if you are over 55 and have been dismissed. Don’t forget about YTK Spark, which speeds up and facilitates your job search.
